Concert Calendar 13th Season

Our small, intimate, smoke-free and alcohol-free
"Coffeehouse" music room is host to
singer/songwriters from all over the country
who stop in Edom to entertain with their original
music. With concerts approximately once each
month, most of the money collected for ticket
sales will go to the artist. Coffee, Soft Drinks,
and Desserts are available before and during
the concerts.
ADMISSION POLICY:
Since our room is relatively small (around 50-70
seats), we strongly recommend purchasing
your tickets in advance to insure seating.
If you purchase in advance, you will be on the
"Early Entry List" and be the first
to enter the music room! Admission prices are
indicated for each concert. Advance ticket purchases
can be made up to the day before the concert
using the paypal button or by calling 903-852-2781
to arrange payment by check or by credit card.
Checks must be received no later than 2 days
prior to the concert (along with contact info
in the event the concert is already sold out).
Paypal and Credit Card payments will incur a
service fee (amount indicated in each concert
description) to cover the cost of processing
and any other fees (so that performers will
still get the full admission). PLEASE NOTE that
we are NOT a non-profit organization so any
donations are NOT tax-deductible. In order to
maintain a quiet listening environment, we ask
that members of our audience please be over
13 years of age unless otherwise indicated.

Pierce Pettis, adored by both critics and
public alike, is one of this generation's
most masterful songwriters. His music is distinguished
by his uncanny ability to capture universals
in human experience by drawing on the humor
and trials in daily life. Beautiful melodies,
strong guitar work, and Pierce's rich vocals
are a constant throughout his body of work.
Pettis has performed in 49 of 50 states as
well as in Canada and Europe, appeared on
American Public Radio's Mountain Stage, been
featured on National Public Radio's E-town,
Morning Edition and World Cafe ... appeared
on VH-1, CBS News, and the Nashville Network.
Artists covering his songs range from Garth
Brooks, Art Garfunkel, and Dion to Clair Lynch,
Tim O’Brien, and Joan Baez.
Pierce is an old favorite here at The Old
Firehouse, and is famous for non-stop music

Tim Grimm is a bit of a Renaissance man in
the performing arts world, forging a rich
and varied career that blends his love of
songwriting, travel, and acting in theatre,
film and television. For most of his 25-year
career as a storytelling balladeer in the
tradition of John Prine, Woody Guthrie, and
Bob Dylan, Tim has written primarily about
community, history, family, and social issues
- often framed by his strong sense of place
and the many years he spent on the family
farm he built in rural Indiana. His songs
are filled with rural characters and landscapes,
written and sung with vivid warmth and intimacy.
Tim’s new album, THE LITTLE IN-BETWEEN
(March 2023), is an evocative evolution from
his previous albums - and his most personal
to date, written in three intense months during
the winter of 2021-22. This album traces his
travel between the hills of southern Indiana
and the Oklahoma prairie - and his internal
journey from a rich past to an unexpected
future - using a first-person voice in every
song to illuminate a deep inner territory
that historically remained more submerged
in his work.
Tim’s second-newest album, GONE was
the #1 album on folk radio for 2021, and its
title song was released as a single in October
of 2020 and ended up the #1 most played song
on Folk radio for the year.
