Our small, intimate, smoke-free and alcohol-free

music. With concerts approximately once each
month, most of the money collected for ticket
sales will go to the artist. Coffee, Soft Drinks,
and Desserts are available before and during
the concerts.
ADMISSION POLICY:
Since our room is relatively small (around 50-70
seats), we strongly recommend purchasing
your tickets in advance to insure seating.
If you purchase in advance, you will be on the
"Early Entry List" and be the first
to enter the music room! Admission prices are
indicated for each concert. Advance ticket purchases
can be made up to the day before the concert
using the BUY NOW button or by calling 903-852-2781
to arrange payment by check or by credit card.
Checks must be received no later than 2 days
prior to the concert (along with contact info
in the event the concert is already sold out).
Credit Card payments will incur a service fee
(amount indicated in each concert description)
to cover the cost of processing and any other
fees (so that performers will still get the
full admission). PLEASE NOTE that we are NOT
a non-profit organization so any donations are
NOT tax-deductible. In order to maintain a quiet
listening environment, we ask that members of
our audience please be over 13 years of age
unless otherwise indicated.
The Old Firehouse is a "labor
of love" brought to you by Jeff & the
late Judy Gottesman. While we are not a "not
for profit" organization, we still need
to make a small profit in order to cover our
expenses. Please consider making a donation
to enable us to continue bringing the music
we all love to Edom. Donations are NOT tax-deductible,
but sure help us make ends meet. Thanks.....Jeff

This
is John's Third Appearance on our stage bringing
his 70s style music that we all love.
John Batdorf is an American singer-songwriter,
solo artist, and one half of the folk-rock duo
Batdorf & Rodney. Born in Springfield, Ohio,
on March 26, 1952, Batdorf was initially inspired
to pursue music after witnessing The Beatles
on television in the 1960s.
Batdorf's early career saw him performing with
his father and later with his own band, The
Luv'd Ones, opening for The Young Rascals in
Los Angeles. He met his eventual musical partner,
Mark Rodney, in Las Vegas in 1970, forming the
folk-rock duo Batdorf & Rodney. The duo
quickly gained attention, securing a record
deal with Atlantic Records after a live audition.
Batdorf & Rodney released three albums between
1971 and 1975, toured extensively, and performed
at Carnegie Hall, sharing stages with notable
artists like America, Seals and Crofts, Fleetwood
Mac, and The Doobie Brothers.
In the 2000s, Batdorf experienced
a resurgence in his artistic career, driven
by the growing popularity of his catalog on
broadband and satellite radio. He began releasing
solo albums on his own imprint, BATMAC MUSIC,
starting with "Side One" in 2004.
He released numerous solo efforts, including
"Home Again," "Old Man Dreamin',"
and "Beep Beep".
He continues to write, record,
and release music, with recent projects including
"Me and My Guitar" and "I'm Not
Givin' Up".
